This mosaic, recognised as one of the finest in Britain, is usually identified as Venus, although it may have been the head of a mere mortal, perhaps based on the lady of the house. The image is flanked by long-tailed birds and winged cupids dressed as gladiators.

Starting from the reenactment about Crossing the Rubicon (Alea Iacta Est) we would like to edit a book about Julius Caesar in Rimini (Italy) both in Italian and English languages. Next June there will be a 22 miles march that will be the historical re-enactment of the journey made by Julius Caesar between Cesena and Rimini Italy
