Seed Heads and Flowers. Made for Gaynor Wakeley. Made a feature of a large blank wall of a modern extension on a traditional building. The idea was for something to break up the dull looking wall, then after some research Gaynor came up with the idea of basing the wall sculpture around semiabstract drawings of English seedheads based on artwork from her collection. In the end Gaynor came to my studio and did some of the full sized drawings herself. Alan Ross, Herefordshire; artinsteel.co.uk
Garden mosaic in Florence, Alabama. Its two pieces - a column I no longer wanted inside and the top is ceramic - flat on the bottom I got half price at hobby lobby. I used mirror and stained glass - used a clear drying... waterproof glue. I could not find hot pink half marbles so I painted with acrylic paint and sealed. After I grouted it I sealed with outdoor tile sealer. Hobby Lobby for glass and glue - Lowes for mirror, grout and sealer.
