Mary Quant was an idolized British fashion designer and style expert. She was part of the mod movement and promoted fun (and funky) fashion for the youth. She was known to be the creator of mini skirts.
Day dress, ca. 1901-04. Three pieces: bodice, sash, skirt. Black & white silk print with lace appliqué. Lined, boned bodice with bishop sleeves closes in front. Skirt has multiple shirred panels set below cream silk-edged points that are placed round the skirt at angle. Shirred black silk taffeta sash with long tail in back. Past Perfect Vintage
