Dress, Peggy Hoyt, New York, 1928. Turquoise silk georgette over aqua crepe-backed satin. Aqua lace embroidered with gold thread at hem and neckline. Large rhinestone bows on left side. Dropped waistline and slightly uneven hem with longer panels on left side. Machine- and hand-sewn. Shoes of turquoise silk, with rhinestone & metal decorations, are by Edward Cohen, and were made to match dress. Rhinestone-studded Cuban heels. Wayne State Univ.
A Pierre Balmain couture ball gown, circa 1953-6, the gown of silver-grey silk faille with strapless bodice and full skirt with lavish Lesage silver and blue embroidery with raisedwork C scrolls studded with pastes, satin rosettes, metallic blue embroidery, simple bow to the front
