"A Bygone Beckoning" Winter winds sieved through soft evergreens give voice to young pines... if you listen carefully, can you hear their whispers. Their muted murmurs rudely interrupted by disgruntled hinges articulating on corroded surfaces as an old wooden door, animated by nature's hand, opens and closes...welcoming guests with true southern hospitality. Photo credit: Scott Garlock Photography "Out in the Country" This little red roofed farm house in Granville County, NC is the center piece of a rural country scene. What caught my eye was the blue hues of the front door complimenting those of the pond, it just kind of pulled all the elements together. (2014)

"Passed the Old Farm House" I wonder how many times that has been said by those who actively farm the surrounding property. One look at those water filled ruts and you know that this is a well traveled path. Just think of how many folks have traveled by foot, by tractor or by vehicle passed the old farm house down the lane. (2014) Photo taken in VA.
