Acrylic on canvas featuring Fred as part of the Fred/Magritte series of paintings. In Magritte's 'Son of Man' painting a business man (a portrait of Magritte himself) has his face obscured by a green apple. Here we see Fred in the same pose except we can see below the waist of the central character.

Entitled 'Is There Anybody In There'. Painted with Acrylic on canvas this painting is a celebration of everything Magritte with a touch of 'Fred' The pipe picture on the wall, the silver bell above the doorway, The apple, The railings, Checked floor and of course the blue sky full of fluffy white clouds, all feature in many of Magritte's paintings. The title came to me while I was painting listening to Pink Floyd hence 'Is there anybody in there?'

I painted this in 2012 as part of the 'Fred' series. Painted with acrylic on canvas in the style of Magritte. The vintage wooden handled umbrella features Fred standing on the top and is entitled 'Fine Realities' as was Magritte's umbrella painting except with a glass of water on top.
