Golden "Big" Wheeler (December 15, 1929 – July 20, 1998) was a Chicago blues and electric blues singer, harmonicist and songwriter. He released two albums in his lifetime, and is best known for his recordings of the songs "Damn Good Mojo" and "Bone Orchard". He worked with the Ice Cream Men and Jimmy Johnson, and was the brother of fellow blues musician, James Wheeler.

Golden "Big" Wheeler (December 15, 1929 – July 20, 1998) was a Chicago blues and electric blues singer, harmonicist and songwriter. He released two albums in his lifetime, and is best known for his recordings of the songs "Damn Good Mojo" and "Bone Orchard". Willie Nix (August 6, 1922 -July 8, 1991) was an Chicago blues singer in the 1940s and 1950s. Nix later became a part of the blues scene that grew up around Beale Street. His musical work saw him appear on local radio with Robert Lockwood Jr., and work alongside Willie Love, Joe Willie Wilkins and Sonny Boy Williamson. Nix made his first recording for RPM Records in Memphis, and a year later he later recorded for Checker Records.

Amos Easton (May 7, 1905- June 8, 1968), better known by the stage name Bumble Bee Slim, was a Piedmont blues musician.  By 1931 he had moved to Chicago, where he first recorded as Bumble Bee Slim for Paramount Records. The following year his song, "B Blues", was a hit for Vocalion Records, inspiring a number of other railroad blues and eventually becoming a popular folk song. Over the next five years he recorded over 150 songs for the Decca, Bluebird and Vocalion labels.

It was after the move to Chicago that James Wheeler picked up the guitar and started jamming with local musicians. Wheeler's first big break came when he played guitar with Billy Boy Arnold.

James featured the tuning on several of the 18 sides he recorded for Paramount in 1931.
