Niagara Falls without the ‘falls’ This is a remarkable photograph. This was all made possible in the summer of 1969 when the water flowing over the falls went missing. It actually was re-routed via a cofferdam which effectively turned off the falls so that engineers could clear debris and do scientific/geological work.
A quote from Issey Miyake sais "I did not want to be labeled 'the designer who survived the atomic bomb', and therefore I have always avoided questions about Hiroshima." What a horrible experience it must have been being a survivor of the Hiroshima atomic bomb.
The Enola Gay is an American plane that dropped an atomic bomb on Japan. Those who survived the bomb were killed by the radiation later on. The Enola Gay was very large and heavy duty to carry such a large and heavy bomb. This plane and bomb resulted in Japans surrender in WWII.
