Made of over 100 pieces of fabric. I machine stitched them to the cotton canvas with free-motion embroidery. The star shapes are meant to be a pattern of floating seeds. The silhouettes are mainly machine stitched, but the tips are hand embroidered with tiny French knots with a single thread of floss. There are small gold stitches scattered around the background, that don't really show here. The colours may seem a bit unreal, but I have seen these colours in nature.

Sewing machine cover. Done! Thanks to the tutorial from @Wag Doll. Used a thinner fabric so added interfacing. Helpful tip: My machine came with a crappy plastic cover, I took all my measurements straight from that, oodles quicker.
