Asia | Tonkin Snub-Nosed Monkey (Rhinopithecus avunculus). This monkey has a broad flat face with a flat upturned nose. It has tufted ears and large thick pink lips. The Tonkin snub-nosed monkey has black fur on the backs of its hands and limbs with all black feet. The rest of their body is a cream color. They have an orange patch at their throats and a long blackish-brown tail.

Slash-and-burn agriculture is the greatest threat, and this is exacerbated by fires set to increase pasture, by logging, by cutting of trees for charcoal production, and by forest destruction by itinerant miners.
