Viet Cong Child Soldiers. With all the talk about liberty and equality the Viet Cong seldom mentioned that when things got hard and manpower was difficult to come by they would draft young children as guerrillas. These boys were enticed with promises of adventure and hundreds of such children were killed in battle. They are members of the Dong Rai Regiment (K-3). In 1968, the South Vietnamese held more than 1000 Communist guerrilla prisoners between the ages of 11 and 17.
