Edmund Crey Brabble - Civil War Confederate Officer. He enlisted into Confederate service as a Captain of infantry on May 16, 1861. Brabble became the Colonel and commander of the 32nd North Carolina. He was present with his command while it engaged in the hard fighting at the battles of Malvern Hill, Gettysburg, Bristoe Station and Spotsylvania Court House. At Spotsylvania he was killed in action during the struggle with West Pointer General Emory Upton's blue clad forces.

Joseph Robert Davis - Civil War Confederate Brigadier General. He was born in Woodville, Wilkinson County, Mississippi, and was the nephew of Confederate President Jefferson Davis.

Philip St. George Cocke - Civil War Confederate Brigadier General Confederate States Army. He is best known for organizing the defense of Virginia along the Potomac River soon after the state's secession from the Union.
