PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 14, 2007) - USS Antietam (CG 54) (right), USS Preble (DDG 88) (center) and USS OKane (DDG 77), transit in formation during a joint photo exercise (PHOTOEX) concluding Valiant Shield 2007. The PHOTOEX featured 15 ships and 17 aircraft from Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps including a B-52 bomber. The John C. Stennis, Kitty Hawk and Nimitz Carrier Strike Groups were participating in Valiant Shield 2007, the largest joint exercise in recent history.

The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSG) and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 11 are deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet.

PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 29, 2008) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG 100), left, and the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54) transit the ocean during a simulated Strait Transit with the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Stennis and Antietam are part of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group conducting a composite training unit exercise off the coast of Southern California.

Central Command Area of Responsibility (July 10, 2003) -- The guided missile cruiser USS Chosin (CG 65) steams away after completing a replenishment at sea (RAS) with the fast combat support ship USS Bridge (AOE 10) and the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz Strike Group and Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) are currently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 8, 2010) An HH-60H Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Chargers of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 15 perpares to land aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill (CG 52) while performing tactical maneuvering exercises with the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) and the Argentina navy frigate ARA Gomez Roca (P 46).
