The South Carolina Dept of Health is reinterpreting regulations to essentially shut down birth centers. I sincerely hope that the staff is working diligently to resolve this issue in a way that respects the right of women to choose their caregiver and place of birth. Women across the country are watching how the SC DHEC handles this and will continue to stand up for the rights of our sisters in South Carolina.
