Waiting to Be Heard: A Memoir by Amanda Knox http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00AHCPXKS/hpb2-20/ASIN/B00AHCPXKS What happened to Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito can happen to anyone. - Thank you Amanda for sharing your story. - I would like to think that this can't happen in America, but I know it can and does.
I had a difficult time connecting with this book. The writing style was interesting and the descriptive language was excellent, but there was virtually no character development. I finished the book feeling like I didn't really know any of the main characters, and actually really not liking Della who I think the reader should have more sympathy for but in my case I didn't.
"Amanda wasn't what people pictured when they heard the term "bully," but wolves could dress in sheep's clothing or Juicy Couture. Amanda was smart and verbal enough to tease at will, which earned her a fear-induced popularity found in elementary schools and fascist dictatorships"
