Three days a week, a bus pulls up in downtown San Francisco to offer showers for the homeless. As VOA's Mike O'Sullivan reports, the mobile showers are provided by a small charity called Lava Mae, playing off the Spanish words 'Lavame' for 'wash me.'
Devastation caused by a flying bomb, London 1944: PC Frederick Godwin of Gipsy Hill Police Station supplies tea and sympathy to a now homeless man after a V1 attack that sadly killed his wife and destroyed his home. He returned from taking his dog (also pictured) for a walk to find a scene of devastation.
