A fine pair of gilt bronze candlestick resting on a circular base adorned with various flowers and a frieze of water leaves. The flared, partially fluted stem is chiselled with small flowers, lattice and foliage. The socket finely decorated with foliate garlands of flowers and ribbons rests on a wreath of fruits and flowers, a very fashionable pattern under the French Restoration. The removable nozzle is decorated with water leaves. Circa :1820
