Fishing - When I went to the sea as a boy with my father and looked into the deep water below, I often imagined extraordinary fish and the great adventures I would have trying to catch and to conquer: the fish symbolize the goals of men, some large, some small. The bigger the game man strives for, the greater the possible gain, but also the greater potential for loss. The bridge, scrolling toward the brightly lit horizon, portrays a path toward enlightenment.
Seekers of Dreams - I attempt to portray here the essence of our exploring spirit and our minds' quest for fantastic and different places beyond normal lives and horizons. The ragtag boat crafted by the voyagers represents their best effort to create a vehicle that will carry the, on their great adventure through life. The fantastic city of jewels and light represents their dreams and potential successes. Could it all be just a fantastic illusion?
Dream of Flight - A fantastic voyage though a surreal landscape. this work decoys man's fascination with flight and exploration. Only the brave could be capable of tremendous effort, willing to put themselves at risk can venture where no man has gone before. But if they succeed, they will be viewed as magnificent. The skeptics who claimed the risk was too great and that it probably couldn't be done at all, gaze upward in awe at those who tried, now soaring high overhead.
Explorers - When I lived in Telluride, Colorado, a beautiful town nestled in a high rocky mountain valley. In the late evening, the settling sun cast a rich warm glow onto the blue-green frozen landscape, creating an intense contrast of colors and an incredible display of crystalline light. The painting represents the adventurous spirit of man throughout the ages in his quest to explore the unknown in search of adventure, profit and enlightenment.
