She also attended various balls and banquets, this one had her in a floor-length gold and white brocade dress with the 'Girls Tiara' again, and her white fur stole from the 50s - who said that she never wore things twice ? The dress too has been worn before - we looked at the two photographs of her further up, sitting for photographer Annie Leibowitz - well, I think this is the same dress !! Prince Philip, 1933 - In 1930, at the age of eight, Prince Philip came to Britain to attend Cheam School in Surrey. He lived partly with his maternal grandmother (Princess Louis of Battenberg; from 1917 Marchioness of Milford Haven) in Kensington Palace, and partly with his uncle, the 2nd Marquess of Milford Haven, at Lynden Manor near Maidenhead. This photograph was taken in 1933, shortly before Prince Philip left Cheam.
