Taco casserole! Saw this on a tv show... in an cast iron pan, cook ground beef, add chopped onions, garlic and can of stewed tomatoes, lil tomato paste, can of black beans, green peppers chopped and a can of corn and add some tex mex seasoning and crunch up some taco chips on top and top it all with cheese... Bake for 15 mins and voila! Delissssh!
Cast Iron Dutch Oven Chili...OH MY GOSH!! This is SO SO SO good! Jared got seconds, and didn't even put shredded cheese OR sour cream in it (he said it would ruin the flavor, that's a huge compliment) I didn't use the bay leaves because I didn't have any, only 1 can of diced tomatoes, then added a fresh diced tomato and a little extra chili sauce. I browned the meat in a skillet first to speed things up, and let it simmer for about 2 hours!
Stuffed cabbage-ground beef, rice, sauteed onion, garlic, salt & pepper. Rolled in steamed cabbage leaves. Chop remaining cabbage for bottom of dutch oven, place rolls on top, cover with Original V8, bake at 350° for 1 hour....Yummy!
