Catananche. These are papery like flowers held up on very thin wiry stems. You only want to see the flower, so they need planting in-between other plants, make sure these plants aren't big or dense plants as the catananche won't be able to 'do it's thing'. Plant in really sunny soils then enjoy them. These are used in our Fab Fronts for Sun design no'2 http://plantplots.com/product-category/products/

Colchicum, Autumn flowering crocus. Colchicums are poisonous, so be aware if you have small children or animals that may eat them. However they start flowering when everything else is starting to give up and die down. So hey are well worth having in any garden. Plant them in gaps in the SPring and wait until the Autumn to enjoy the display. http://plantplots.com/product-category/products/

Cosmos Atrosanguineus. This is a flower that smells a little of dark Chocolate - so no further reason as to why you need to have some required! It isn't supposed to be totally hardy, but mine is in a large pot in a sunny sheltered spot and it has survived the last 5 winters! It's used in our Big n Red n Hot and Fab Fronts to be Noticed range 3 http://plantplots.com/product-category/products/

Skimmia Japonica. This is the horticultural equivalent of a Volvo...not terribly fashionable (sorry Volvo!) but utterly dependable and great in the winter weather! It's also pretty football proof so we've used it in our Nearly Indestructible border for Kids! http://plantplots.com/product-category/products/
