SILK BROCADE ROBE a la FRANCAISE, c. 1750. Red and white striped silk open gown and petticoat brocaded with floral sprays in yellow, blue, plum and green. Square neck, front opening with graduated padded trip with looped silk cord. Compere front. Back falls from two double pleats. Lining of striped silk with lacing muslin back adjustment. Petticoat pleated at waist with side ties; back pieced with plaid taffeta.
