Budapest’s Monumental Vajdahunyad Castle is a castle in Budapest’s City Park that was built between 1896 and 1908. It is a copy in part of a castle in Transylvania, Romania, that is also called Vajdahunyad, though it is also a display of different architectural styles: Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque.
The House of Esterházy is a Hungarian noble family beginning in the Middle Ages. Since the 17th century they were among the great landowner magnates of the Kingdom of Hungary, during the time it was part of the Habsburg Empire and later Austria-Hungary. The House of Esterházy - The Esterházys arose among the minor nobility of the northern part of the Kingdom of Hungary (today's southwest Slovakia).
