I always have canisters of healthy cereal on the breakfast bar and leave out bowls and spoons the night before.  The kids help themselves in the morning to get their breakfast started so that I can finish my sleep/shower/prep knowing that they are being fed. They feel empowered and I can concentrate on the 20 other things that need to be done each morning and we usually make it to school on time.  Oh yes, those ARE flash cards next to the cereal...
