Interestingly Kemet's ancient Faith correlated the bird as a metaphor of the soul. In Estonia's first nations associated the annual disappearance and reappearance of migrating birds with the spiritual realm as well.

It was said that her breath created the desert. She was seen as the protector of the pharaohs and led them in warfare. Wadjet (Wadjyt, Wadjit, Uto, Uatchet, Edjo, Buto) was one of the oldest Egyptian goddesses. Her worship was already established by the Predynastic Period, but did change somewhat as time progressed. She began as the local goddess of Per-Wadjet (Buto) but soon became a patron goddess of Lower Egypt.
