The Dollar Dance: Guests pay (1 dollar or up) to the maid of honor or best man to dance briefly with the bride or groom, respectively. Usually guests are told that the money will be used for the bride and groom's honeymoon, new home, etc. It's a fun way for everyone to get a chance to dance with the happy couple, without feeling awkward cutting in at some point during the wedding. I've been to multiple weddings that have done this- it doesn't come off cheap or tacky in any way. Just a blast!
