Yep, this scene hurt me. But the circle for Tony's anger was complete. He didn't care anymore. He hurt his former friends. For me, this scene paralleled when Bucky fell from the train and when Steve fell from the helicarrier. Bucky "died," Steve was rescued BUT RHODEY DIDN'T DIE. However, Tony is so far gone at this point that this doesn't even matter. It wasn't Sam's fault, but Tony blames him. He doesn't care EVEN THOUGH SAM APOLOGIZED AND EVEN TRIED TO SAVE RHODEY.
