Titanic-I have been intrigued by the Titanic story since late 70's and have read a lot of material on her and was excited about this movie. I thought it was a good telling about the fateful voyage while interjecting a ficticious love story into it.
Rose's conversation with Mr. Andrews reveals she seems to be afraid there aren't enough lifeboats to save the lives of all the passengers on board - Andrews actually tells Rose to sleep soundly because the ship he's built is strong, good & carrying the necessary lifeboats. The fact that Rose DeWitt Bukater was a British passenger, who doesn't really seem to be v. much behind the prevailing idea, at that point in time, of Titanic being unsinkable, makes that moment v. odd. | Titanic (1997)
