Great tip for camping with toddlers (or anyone really): Use a plastic milk jug filled with water with a nail pushed through the side near the bottom. This sits on the edge of a table and any time someone needs to wash their hands, they simply pull out the nail causing the water to flow. Replacing the nail stops the flow of water. A towel attached to the table is also handy!
Apples by the Fire - ( camping recipe ) - Great snack Ingredients 1 Granny Smith apple, cored 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon Directions Fill the core of the apple with the brown sugar and cinnamon. Wrap the apple in a large piece of heavy foil, twisting the extra foil into a tail for a handle. Place the apple in the coals of a campfire or barbeque and let cook 5 to 10 minutes, until softened. Remove and unwrap, being careful of the hot sugar.
