Well.. what a busy week last week was. It all started with LiftEx 2015 - an event for the heavy lifting industry that concentrates on 'everything' below the hook! A real vibrant event with some of the countries largest names in manufacture, lifting, and hire equipment. What a friendly bunch of people though - and a great set of natural images over the two days... We are looking forward to next year already in Aberdeen.
The Industrial Shoot yesterday was quite fast paced and really interactive with the guys at Bacsol in Lancashire. We started the day with a few shots in their recently renovated offices, and ended up right in the middle of their yard under a dark grey sky.
Last Friday, we were commissioned by Bachy Soletanche, one of the UK's leading geotechnical specialists, to photograph their production and manufacturing facility in the North West. The brief here was to create some visually interesting images for marketing their business globally... Daniel was very pleased with the images he returned with and had a great day trying to capture something different!
Interesting day today. Apparently the best way of becoming a racing car driver (the dream of many a young boy (and even girl)) is to win the chance in a competition. This weekend saw the culmination of a computer gaming championship that has been played worldwide - to give one lucky person a future in real-life race car driving. Nissan ran the competition at the Trafford Centre in Manchester.
Daniel has been out again... This time for the lovely ladies at FLG in Grimsby. Working on behalf on A-Plant, Daniel was asked to capture 'women at work'! A series of images of the Michelle and Jo at the Grimsby FLG branch for the latest marketing brochure. Also while he was there.. there was talk of a new Calendar being produced for distribution around the associated companies. The calendar would feature both men and women photographed at work - with a fun twist!
Did anyone spot Daniel out and about in Manchester this weekend? Intu Properties, the people who own the Trafford Centre and the Arndale Centre sent Daniel into the Center of Manchester to photograph the Bassetts' Stand within the Arndale. We were able to capture some great little models, with smiley faces, that really enjoyed painting the stand and posing for Daniel. We must also say a big thankyou to the parents for letting us shoot their little angels and signing the consent forms.
Recently, we have picked up a new photography client in Wrexham - Dee Valley Water. At this time of year the company is creating it's annual report and requires a broad spectrum of images for use in the publication. We spent around four days with Dee Valley Water, photographing current projects, employee's, elderly customers and some of their water treatment works.
As we may have mentioned before, one of our largest customers, is a tool hire company called A-Plant Hire. A-Plant have many other smaller companies within their portfolio and we are often lucky enough to be sent around the country to shoot at their depot's. These shoots are always interactive, and we have a great time creating 'people at work' images. We would like to thank Carl the depot manager for his help during the day, and of course, for being one of our models!
At the end of last week, our commercial photographer - Daniel James, had another shoot with one of our largest customers - A Plant. The hire company required a shoot on an actual residential development site to promote their latest range of 'diggers' or excavators as they are known in the trade, along with Tele-handlers and other site machinery.
Today, we have had the pleasure of shooting a store opening event for Aab Collection, in Bradford. What a fantastic turnout, we were blown away by the queue outside before the store opened at 11am and then as the day unfolded, we saw fantastic demonstrations which created a wonderful buzz around the store. Below are a few shots from the day... and remember to nip in if you are ever passing the Broadway Centre in Bradford
