A Cheyenne Elder, who was A tribal Peyote Leader, technically a Holy man and Healer (singer), with what was referred to as a 'hatchet face,' profile. But what the people who insult didn't take into account was, the wisdom and experience this man had. They were not smart enough to see that! Edward S. Curtis, photographer probably did. This profile is termed a Hatchet face profils, because of the sharp angle in the face, as if carved out.
