Educated St. Edmund's School, Hindhead, St. Peter's College, Radley, gained an exhibition at Exeter College, Oxford, where he was captain of boats. KIA near Ypres 16.07.1915 aged 26. Buried Bard Cottage Cemetery. Grave Ref: I. E.14. Son of John Arthur and Amelia Frederica Slingsby, of Carla Beck, Carleton-in-Craven, Skipton, Yorks.
