A gentle introduction to Science Fiction Fantasy. I picked this for my book club. Premise: What if our weather is controlled by those with special abilities to decrease the risk to human life. These special people have control over water, wind, fire and earth. Members were initially skeptical, but ended up loving it. Several have read the whole series now. It's not over the top, but quite a nice way to start reading SF fantasy.
