Naviduct Krabbersgat, the Netherlands The Krabbersgat-locks is the first world’s “Naviduct,” a special kind of navigable aqueducts that include a lock. This was an unique project, conceived to make bottlenecks for both sea faring traffic and vehicle easier. The structure consists of a ship-lock with an underpass for car traffic. It was opened in 2003. There is a pass between Ijsselmeer and Markermeer lakes.
The Pont du Sart is a navigable aqueduct in the West of Belgium. This concrete structure has 498 meters long and 46 meters wide. Weigh tons and is supported by 28 three meters in diameter concrete columns.
