WWII Nazi Germany's Walther P38 is a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol that was developed by Walther arms as the service pistol of the Wehrmacht at the beginning of World War II. It was intended to replace the costly Luger P08, the production of which was scheduled to end in 1942.

They were powered by a GAZ-M 50hp engine and armed with one 7.62mm machine gun. During WW2, they were used to tow 45-millimeter anti-tank guns and 120-millimeter heavy mortars. HMS Alcide (P415), was an Amphion-class submarine of the Royal Navy, built by Vickers-Armstrongs and launched 12 April 1945, shortly before the end of WW2. The Amphion class was one of only two British submarine classes put to production during WW2.
