i love my shadow, yes i do. i speak in its silent presence. it cries in my sorrows, laughs in my happiness, it walk by me all night. There it stands tall, before me as an inspiration, behind me as a support and beside me as a soul mate.... always forever.
I like this picture because rather than the people being the ones shown as the main focus, their shadows seem to be the focal point. The image has been shifted to make is seem like the people are walking straight up which makes a cool effect.
Unless we learn to face our shadows, we continue to see them in others, because the world outside us is merely a reflection of the world inside us. Carl Jung said, "Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”
This photo also reminds of The Night Circus because the characters did not age. In real life, this would have been what Celia and Marco looked like after all of those years but instead they still looked young, like the shadows in the back of this picture.
