I found a vintage pattern (circa 1960) in my sister’s stash for a baby’s matinee jacket. i hadn't seen the pattern before and my sister couldn't remember where it came from. To add to the mystery, on the back of the pattern the name Alice was handwritten in large letters - hence the name Alice Matinee jacket It’s a lovely design but as I haven’t got any babies to knit for, decided to alter the pattern for Baby Annabell Doll and include a dress, bonnet and booties.
