New Years Eve 2014. The high desert got hit with some snow the night before. I've been waiting a long time to be able to get some photos of the Joshua Trees with snow. It didn't stick around very long so I feel luck to have gotten up there when I did.
Cenote Zaci is located within the city of Valladolid in Yucatan, Mexico. It is a freshwater cenote (sinkhole). This part of mexico is loaded with cenotes. No one really knows they are there until the ground caves in and you get this beautiful cave lake. They'd probably be more upset about a sinkhole if it wasn't so cool. Plus, then they charge money for people to visit and swim.
Big Sur, California I think this was Pfeiffer Beach. They said they had purple sand. I saw some, but not enough to make it a selling point. And when I hear purple sand, I expect artificial grape flavored purple.
