An apricot and blueberry galette. I picked and froze quite a few blueberries last season but the fresh apricots are a distant memory.

Rather than shovel snow I opted to make this apple galette instead, glazed with homemade apricot jam.

I had fun baking these small focaccia. Some were potatoes and garlic scapes, both from the garden. Others were fresh figs, walnuts and Gorgonzola.

Made a huge pot of Cajun gumbo with chicken, duck and smoked chicken and smoked duck stocks. I started with a dark roux, developed and intensified for nearly 2 1/2 hours.
