Adrienne- Handwoven Cornflower and Raspberry Scarf
Julia, a weaver from Federation Sahalandy in Madagascar wove this plain-weave wrap. It's handwoven of tightly-banded natural-colored warp stripes and open-weave rust-colored wide stripes. The weft is a variegated natural and brown woven in a loose and tight striping pattern giving an effect of ghostly weft stripes and subtle over-all grid pattern. It’s a light-weight shawl. All fiber is handspun from silk cocoons–the silk worm fed on the leaves of the Tapia tree. | Clothroads
