The most famous specimen of Paranthropus aethiopicus was discovered west of Lake Turkana and was dated to 2.5 million years old. It was known as “Black Skull” because mineral uptake during fossilization gave the specimen a blue-black color

Paranthropus-boisei also know as "Nutcracker Man" because he is the first humanoid species to use a rock as a tool. His skull was found by Mary Leakey the wife of Louis Leakey in 1959 in Tanzania. The skull dates back to 1.4 million years.
