The Barrymore ... Cool old theater in one of my favorite neighborhoods. Love the masks in the lobby! Spent a winter nite in line waiting to see "Green Fire," the film about Aldo Leopold. Loved people watching that night... great vibe in the theater, too. And good to get inside and be warm!
Jantzen Beach Amusement Park was heralded as Portland’s Million Dollar Playground. When it opened on May 26, 1928, Jantzen Beach was the largest amusement park in the nation. The park sprawled over 123 acres at Hayden Island at the northern tip of Portland.
Drink 7-up sign, NE Portland, in the Hollywood District. It was there for the longest time, but I think it's not there anymore. The sign, when lit up, would show the bubbles, going up the bottles on each sign.
