FINE DECORATED MINIATURE BLANKET CHEST - Attributed to western Virginia, 2nd quarter-19th century, poplar. Dovetailed case on bracket feet & retaining its original stylized flower decoration in red & gold, against a green ground. 11.25"h. 17.5"w. 9.75"d. Attribution on this chest is based on an inscribed chest by the same hand. Research has identified the inscribed name as Granville H. Pool of Grayson County, Virginia.
Rare Pennsylvania walnut hanging cupboard, ca. 1750, with a molded cornice above a raised panel door with a bull's-eye glass opening and bold wrought iron hinges, above scalloped sides and a lower shelf, 33" h., 23" w.
