One of my all-time fave things to use while working out. I use this brand of jump rope the most because it is relatively durable for its fairly cheap price (around $6-8). If you don't own one, you're missing out on a great training tool.

Love me some foam roller. Helps SO much with myofascial release and self-massage. I especially love it for the quads (often prevents knee pain) and calves (prevents/helps with plantar fasciitis).

Insanity: The Asylum. Again, normally I don't like the infomercial type workout gimmicks, but this is legit. Comes with jump rope, agility ladder and bands (which break easily). You do need to provide your own weights for the strength portion. Requires a bit more space than Insanity and I definitely would recommend becoming very comfortable with Insanity before trying Asylum. It is a beast.

We shouldn’t be choosing our tools based on how tough they make us look or how difficult they make an exercise, but instead, on how they are able to teach us to move more effectively and efficiently.
