This Sunday May the 26th visitors in Rotterdam Zoo will taste the Fishfree Tuna from the Vegetarian Butcher. With this initiative the Rotterdam Zoo is pioneering in the crucial restoration and conservation of fish stocks. The Vegetarian Butcher has developed a method to get the taste of fish from vegetable raw materials, without the use of the fish itself. The Vegetarian Butcher won the 2012 SmaakNL Food Prize, an Award for the best new product of the Netherlands.
