A major mistake made by predators and oppressors is attempt to destroy your self-esteem by humiliating you. When people are simply hurt by an encounter, they will want to back off and be reluctant to face you again. But if you continually ridicule them you generate not fear but anger. People who become angry enough lose their fear and the power of the oppressor is at that moment broken. Those who have been humiliated and are very angry are extremely dangerous and capable of anything.
