Ninth plate tintype of Johnny Reb. This one has his name scratched into the backside of the preserver. Mr. Joseph Cady of Alabama. Joseph muster with Co. B of the 3rd Alabama Volunteer Militia on March 1st of 1862. After a short stint with that regiment it was mustered out and he then took arms with Co. A of the 11th Alabama Infantry. The 11th saw a lot of very heavy action during their service. Not much information can be found on Cady but it appears he did sign his Oath of Allegiance in…
