The "koncerz" (similar to the western Europe "estock" or "stock") is a special point-only sword, straight and very long (1.1-1.4 meters, typically 1.3 meters), for horseback use only because of its extreme length. From the mid 17th Century they were made in triangle cross-section, like a smallsword or modern epee, but they were much longer than small-swords. Koncerz were used in Poland since the 15th Century - perhaps the prototype was a turkish weapon designed to pierce mail.
