1906 view og Meux's Horseshoe Brewery at 319 Tottenham Court Road, where the Dominion Theatre stands today. The London Beer Flood disaster took place here in 1814, when one of the enormous vats collapsed and 323, 000 gallons of beer flooded the entire area resulting in 9 deaths: 8 by drowning or falling debris and another the following day, by alcholic poisoning.
