Hastings Old Town, East Sussex,  a medieval Cinque  Port town on the  south coast. The Battle of Hastings in 1066 was fought at Senlac Hill at the start of the Norman Conquest.

Offa's Dyke, England-Wales border. This 1,200 year-old national trail built by Offa, the King of Mercia in the 8th century, stretches for 177 miles and crosses eight different counties along the border between England and Wales, passing through several spectacular landscapes from the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley to the Shropshire Hills and Clwydian Hills.
